“to see Gwadar Port develop as a Regional Hub for both transit and transshipment
trade and be equated with other professionally run ports in the region.
Mission Statement

To have an effective and efficiently run organization in the form of a
sustainable institution and to provide a safe and environmentally sound work
place for all its staff.

To ensure that Gwadar Port responds to the needs of its customers in an
efficient, professional and transparent manner by providing a reliable and
acceptable level of service, which would ultimately benefit the organization.

To protect and utilize the Government of Pakistan assets for the benefits of
its stakeholders.

To collectively contribute for bringing about a visible change in the living
conditions and in improving the quality of life for people of Gwadar in
particular and of the Province in general.

To encourage participation of local population in the development of Gwadar
Port with total respect for their culture, traditions and environment.

To try and inculcate the culture of “Service Above Self” and “Organization
First”.

Serve as an alternate port in an emergency.

To serve as an outlet for Oil Export in the region.
Objectives
The objectives for the developing the Gwadar Port are to :

Capitalize on opportunities for trade with landlocked Central Asian States and
Afghanistan.

Promote trade and transport with Gulf States.

Trans-shipment essentially of containerized cargo.

Unlock the development potential of hinterland.

Uplift Gwadar's Socio economic, the province of Balochistan and the country.

Establishment of shipping related industries.

Reduce congestion and dependency on the country's existing Ports.

Serve as an alternate port to handle Pakistani trade in case of any difficulty
of existing ports.

Serve as a Regional Hub for major trade and commercial activities.

Attend its customer in efficient and transparent manner.
